A 21-YEAR-OLD woman serving a 15-year jail term at Chikurubi Female Prison for human trafficking says she now accepts life behind bars.
Florence Damota who was convicted of the offence last year said she was now used to life in jail.
“I used to be a maid and brought men to sleep with the children I used to look after.
“The 15 years which I was given is really painful. I am now used to it although the life is painful at times..
“I do pray for mercy and a second chance,” said Damota who cuts a forlorn figure at Chikurubi Female Prison.
Damota said her case was used as a campaign awareness to stop human trafficking in children.
“I have accepted that I am now a prisoner and I came here to be corrected and learn to live with others in the community. Hmetro
