Johane Masowe Echishanu church leader Lloyd Gwasarira is entangled in a nasty r__ape scandal after he allegedly r__aped a help-seeker under the guise that he was spiritually assisting her to get her imprisoned husband our of jail.
The local tabloid, H-Metro, reports that Gwasarira, 39, allegedly approached the complainant’s house in Waterfalls sometime in February 2016, claiming that he wanted to assist her with getting her convicted husband out of prison, who was jailed on r__ape charges.
Gwasira then asked the complainant to accompany him to meet his well-connected colleagues. The two reportedly left and went to Waterfall’s shopping centre and entered a lodge where the meeting was alleged to be scheduled.
Much to the complainant’s surprise, the room was empty, which prompted her to quizz Gwasira where he’s colleagues where to which he responded that he would only help her in exchange if she had s___ex with him.
The complainant got scared, fearing that she was going to be r__aped. As she was about to leave, he grabbed her and raped her although wearing a condom.
After the assault, Gwasarira purported to make a phone call to a former police boss by the name Matibiri and to a criminal investigations boss named Bonyongwe who would ‘fast track the release of her husband.
Two weeks later, Gwasira is alleged to have used the same modus operandi to r___ape the complainant the second time.
The matter only came to light, after the complainant confessed to her husband who had been released on bail pending appeal on March 10 2016, leading to Gwasira’s arrest after a police report was launched.

He was released on $300 bail and was ordered not to interfere with witnesses, particularly the complainant, to reside at his given address and to report once every fortnight at Glen -View Police Station. H-Live
