Mnangagwa Is Creating An Imperial Presidency Like That Of Mugabe,” Chin’ono
Prominent Zimbabwean journalist and filmmaker, Hopewell Chin’ono has said that President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the ruling ZANU PF are creating an imperial presidency like that of former president Robert Mugabe.
Posting on Twitter, Chin’ono described the latest approval of the Constitutional Amendment Bill by Cabinet as a “constitutional nightmare for theAdvertisementZimbabwean citizens”.
He observed that the removal of his term limits, the running mate clause and the Chief Justice retirement age will increase Mnangagwa’s appointment powers.
